Job Title: General Manager / Store Manager

Location: O'Hare, Chicago, IL Area

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced General Manager / Store Manager to lead a high-performing retail operation in the O'Hare Chicago area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail services management, overseeing multi-department teams of 20+ employees. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple departments, managing a team of 20+ employees.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, training, accountability, and high performance.

Financial Oversight

  • Manage labor costs and operational expenses to achieve profit and loss (P&L) objectives.
  • Monitor budgets and implement cost-control measures without compromising service quality.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure exceptional service standards and address client concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Training & Development

  • Train and mentor staff on customer service excellence, safety protocols, and operational processes.
  • Develop ongoing training programs to support employee growth and compliance.

Compliance & Policies

  • Enforce company policies and maintain adherence to safety, care, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance across all departments.

Facilities & Maintenance

  • Maintain store cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Oversee inventory management and coordinate maintenance requests to ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of retail sales or retail services management experience.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-department teams of 20+ employees.
  • Strong financial management skills with experience in P&L oversight.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in high-traffic retail or service environments.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and scheduling tools.
